Melanie June Bryant Elmore, age 79, of Garland passed away peacefully at her home. She was born on April 22, 1941 in Corsicana, Texas to Ernest Cam Bryant, Jr. and Frances Livingston Bryant.

She graduated from W.H. Adamson High School in Dallas, Texas in 1959. She was in the National Honor Society. She worked for the Federal Government before she retired.
Melanie was a quiet dignified lady who never said anything negative about anyone at any time. She loved all animals dearly. She raised her three parrots, Swanee, Yoli and Chico. She cared for and loved all her fur baby dogs that passed away before her.
She married the “love of her life”, Sonny Elmore on July 23, 1990. She had throughout her marriage one of the best husbands that God ever placed on Earth. He stood by her, loved her, and totally cared for her at home until her death. “God Bless you, Sonny Elmore!!!
Melanie was preceded in death by her parents.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory two sons; Gary Mace of New York and Allen Mace of Colorado. She is also survived by her brother, Ernest Cam Bryant, III and his wife Darrene of Duncanville, her nephews; Cameron Bryant and his three daughters and Jason Bryant, all of California. She loved her big extended family and leaves behind many relatives and friends.
There’s a brighter star in the sky tonight and that is Melanie looking down on all of us. The rain that falls are the tears of all who loved her.
Graveside services are scheduled for Saturday, May 23, 2020 at 2:00PM at Birdston Cemetery in Streetman, Texas with Mr. Hoppy McGilvary officiating. Social distancing will be observed.
