Mr. Howard Mayhugh, age 77, of Corsicana passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at Medical City Dallas. He was born on April 6, 1942 in Uvalde, Texas to Elburn Lincoln Mayhugh and Velma Doris Powell Mayhugh.

Howard graduated high school and worked many jobs throughout his life. The job that he had most of his life was as a mud logger in the oil fields. He was a man who loved his family and enjoyed every minute spent with them. Howard loved the Dallas Cowboys and the Houston Astros. He enjoyed playing his guitar and singing. He was an avid gardener and bird watcher.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by the love of his life, Marquette Hester; his children; Angela and husband, Steven; Lance Mayhugh and wife Linda; his grandchildren; Dustin and Jennifer Williams and Derek and Cody Mayhugh.
The visitation with the family is scheduled for Friday, November 15, 2019 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Corley Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 10:00 AM at First Baptist Church in Corsicana with Dr. Danny P. Reeves officiating. Burial will follow at Hamilton Beeman Cemetery in Retreat, Texas.
