Mr. James Edwin Brown, age 85, of Corsicana passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at Medical City Hospital in Dallas. He was born on July 27, 1933 in Emhouse, Texas to E. J. Brown and Mary Ray Brown.

Mr. Brown served in the United State Army. He worked as a mold maker for Chattanooga Glass and later Anchor Glass before retiring. He was a longtime member of Emhouse Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife Roberta Taylor Brown and his sister-in-law Dorothy Jean Taylor.
He is survived by his daughter Dana Ashley and husband Gary of Illinois and his step-son Larry Holloway and wife Cheryl of Terrell, his grandchildren; Bryan Holloway and wife Karen of Terrell, Stacy Burton and husband Brian of Royse City and great-grandchildren; James Holloway, Cheyenne Holloway, Jonathan Burton and Megan Burton, his sister-in-law JoAnn Rhodes of Corsicana ; nephew, Garry Rhodes and wife Pam of Corsicana; nieces Leesa Ward and husband, Kyle of Bossier City, LA and Janet Wood Williams of Dallas.
Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at Corley Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, May 24, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. with Dr. Darren Heil officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
