Born and raised in the small rural community of Burkesville, Kentucky in Cumberland County, Bob graduated from Cumberland Co. High School in 1953. After graduating, he joined the United States Marine Corp serving for two years during the Korean War. After leaving the service, he married Ann Marron Marshall in Roswell, New Mexico in 1961. Bob's family was his life. He was a fiercely loyal Father who was available to his children in times of happiness and in times of need. Bob was a believer in education. Educating four children and putting them through college was priority in his life. He wanted nothing but the best for his family and was a wonderful provider.
Bob had many passions in life. He loved learning new things and was an avid reader of history. He loved painting, and enjoyed sports, especially golf.
