Randy Lee McCain, 64, passed away at his home in Mildred, Texas on March 7, 2019. Randy was born in Corsicana, Texas to Betty Joyce and Roy Lee McCain on January 4, 1955.

Randy moved from Corsicana to Angus, Texas at the age of 6 where he lived most of his life. He graduated from Corsicana High School in 1973, receiving a Collins Scholarship. He attended Navarro Junior College from 1973-1975, and transferred to Sam Houston State University. He graduated from Sam Houston State University in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Science. After graduation from Sam Houston, Randy worked for the Soil Conservation Service, Gilberth and Associates Civil Engineering, and the United States Post Office as a Postal Carrier.
In 1981 Randy took ownership in what we all knew as “Randy’s,” but more formally known as Randy’s Mobile, then Randy’s One Stop after expansion. After 25 years of spirit service to Navarro County, Randy closed the doors to Randy’s One Stop and went on to be a special education teacher for ten years in Corsicana ISD. Randy retired from Corsicana ISD in 2017.
Early in life, Randy was active in the in the Junior Chamber of Commerce helping bring events to Corsicana. He also served on the Angus City Council as a Mayor Pro-tem and Council member for many years.
Over the years, Randy enjoyed working with kids, helping coach baseball, basketball, football, and softball. He loved to entertain people by singing and playing his guitar; he enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys, and going to see Marvel and DC Comic movies in theatres. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandsons.
Randy is preceded in death by his father, Roy Lee McCain, and his wife Bettie York McCain.
Randy is survived by his mother, Betty Joyce McCain of Corsicana, Texas; brother Roy Lynn McCain of Corsicana, Texas, daughter and son-in-law, Kasie and Adam Stagman of Bastrop, Texas; son Lee McCain of Corsicana, Texas; step-daughter and husband, Crystal and Justin Underwood of Richland, Texas, step-son and wife Shane and Jodi Dickerson, of Mildred, Texas; grandsons Lane and Easten Stagman of Bastrop, Texas; cousins Ana Dale Shelby, Buddy Marshall, Mickey Don McCain, Sheila Brady, Cheryl Allen, and Christy Krautch.
Visitation with the family will be held at Corley Funeral Home on Monday, March 11 from 5:00 to 7:00pm. Funeral Services will be held at Corley Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 12 at 1:00pm with Brother Randall Evett officiating. Burial to follow at Hamilton-Beeman Cemetery in Retreat, Texas. Serving as pallbearers will be Paul Atsby, Dennis Hannah, Steve Haynie, Bart Latta, Jason Lewis, Kevin Lewis, Buddy Marshall and Colby Stover. Honorary Pallbearers will be Horace Brewer, Mickey Don McCain and Eben Dale Stover.
