Mr. Roy Eugene “Gene” Ingham, age 81, of Corsicana passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at Navarro Regional Hospital. He was born on January 3, 1938 in Navarro County to J.D. Ingham and Letha Irene Cox Ingham.

Gene attended schools in Corsicana and graduated from Corsicana High School in 1957. He served in the Texas National Guard for many years. He loved to bow hunt, fish and listen to country music whenever possible. He worked in automotive sales most of his life. He worked at Waddell Connally beginning in 1957 and then worked at Hudson Auto Parts in Corsicana beginning in 2001 and retired from Berry Chrysler in Corsicana.
He met Maxine in 1955 and they were married in 2010. Maxine and Gene loved one another dearly and had great times together throughout their short marriage. Gene never met a stranger and all those who knew him thought the world of him.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Maxine Ingham; his daughter, Karen Lampin; his grandsons, Craig Lampin and wife Kindrah and Colby Lampin and wife Terrah. Gene is also survived by three great-granddaughters; Kaydence Lampin, Cambrie Lampin and Morgan Lampin. He is also survived by his twin brother, Dean Ingham, his nephew; Roy D. Ingham; his great-nephew, Stephen Ingham and his step-children; Jan Nichols and Mike Nichols and many step-grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be held on Friday, March 8, 2019 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Corley Funeral Home Chapel with the funeral service following immediately after at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. James Williams and Bro. Bill Manney officiating. Burial will follow at Hamilton-Beeman Cemetery in Retreat, Texas. Serving as pallbearers will be Stan Lawhon, Bobby Howard, Gary Ferguson, Craig Lampin, Colby Lampin and Matt Wood. Honorary pallbearers will be “Gene’s bow-hunting buddies”.
